The Phurba, is a ritual implement in Tibetan Buddhism. Originally, it was a type of ancient Indian weapon and is now utilized as a ritual tool in Buddhism. There are different types of Phurba, such as this one, one end of the phurba resembles a vajra pestle, while the other end is triangular and pointed, like 3-edged blade, with three Buddha heads in the middle as a handle. This implement is commonly used in Vajrayana Buddhist practices to eliminate obstacles and symbolize powerful spiritual abilities.

This particular Three-Faced Buddha Phurba is majestic and solemn, adorned with intricate and splendid decorations. The three faces symbolize the eradication of all personal defilements, leading to a purified state of meditation, and the elimination of all obstacles and hindrances. The top is a three-pronged vajra pestle. The lower part of the Phurba features makara heads swallowing flames. The entire Phurba stands on a meticulously hand-carved lotus-patterned base with makara heads, further enhancing its grand and magnificent presence.

The three wrathful-faced buddha, the makara heads, and the lotus petal decorations of this item are all made of 22K gold, while the remaining components are made of 925 silver. The combination of these two colors adds richness to the overall design. The Phurba is adorned with 32 natural diamonds and 22 natural rubies, with a height of only 89 millimeters.

The carving of this artwork took nearly a thousand hours. The decoration of this Phurba is opulent, and the craftsmanship is exquisite. Its solemn and majestic presence is awe-inspiring. Even when magnified several times, the smallest area of the Buddha's face and crown measures only 0.5 mm2 (square millimeters), and the craftsmanship remains exquisitely unparalleled.
