Made circa 1835, signed Gme. Hry Guye Aux Verrieres, 60mm, 18K gold florally chased and engraved case, band, and bezels. No. 2091. The case-back with a taille-douce engraved lake scene with a castle to the right, fisherman in the foreground, row boat and ships on the lake and mountains in the background, rococo floral and foliate boarder, hinged gold cuvette with winding and setting apertures as well as with grande/petite sonnerie lever, strike/silent lever under the bezel.


Silver dial, champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, taille-douce engraved central field with an extensive landscape, dancer and musicians in the foreground, ruins, lake and mountains in the background. Gold Breguet hands.


23''' frosted gilt movement, fixed and standing barrels, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm platinum balance with flat balance spring, striking and repeating works set on the back plate, repeat activated by a push piece in the pendant. Signed on the cuvette.

 

Function: hours, minutes, quarter-repeating, grande and petite sonnerie.
