19th Century French Mantel Clock with Garnitures

Made circa late 19th century.
Gilt brass and decorated with champlevé enamel, the dial signed E.M Mason Paris, the movement stamped Japy Freres.
A cupola type clock, the drum case supported by three Corinthian columns to each side above a circular plinth base. Gilt dial with Arabic numerals, the twin tube faux mercury pendulum to compensate the thermal expansion problem of metal. The drum-shaped movement with hours, minutes functions and strikes the hour on gong.
