Historical Background:

Jaeger-LeCoultre is a Swiss luxury watch and clock manufacturer founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833. Since 2000, the company has been a fully owned subsidiary of the Swiss luxury group Richemont. Jaeger-LeCoultre has hundreds of inventions and over a thousand calibers to its name.

The pair of Jaeger-LeCoultre cufflinks watches were collected by Jack Benny, an American comedian, vaudevillian, radio, television, and film actor, and violinist, recognized as a leading 20th-century American entertainer. He and another famous voice actor Mel Blanc were very close friends. Mel even got Jack interested in collecting watches, including this pair of cufflinks, and Jack gave this cufflink to Mel's son Noel as his 13th birthday gift.
