Produced circa 1938, 47mm, silver originally, and then replaced by stainless steel from Longines manufactory, manual-winding caliber Cal.37.9.

Functions: hours, minutes, a pilot’s navigation wristwatch.

Brand History:

Longines is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832. Being the official timer of the Olympics, Longines was a well-respected time keeper and a name that people knew. When Lindbergh flew his famed non-stop, solo Atlantic crossing in 1927, Longines timed the event, total time was 33 hours and 30 minutes. In 1931, Lindbergh set out to update and improve the Weems watch based on his experience of flying over the Atlantic. In the Golden Age’s conquest of the skies, Longines was king.
