Orca

Made circa 2022, 37.5mm, 18K white gold, with Swiss escapement.

Inspired by the orca, the movement has the wheel train bridge shaped like the killer whale, with the Cotes de Geneve representing the ocean’s waves and the perlage the foam.

About Kuan Rao

Mr. Kuan Rao, a very young independent Chinese Watchmaker. He made his first watch "Orca" at the age of 21 while still studying at the Imperial College of Technology that released his second watch "Iceberg" a year later. The patented escapement design-Equal-Push Escapement, which can run without lubrication, has been included in the latest Swiss watchmaking school's reference textbook and is the only Chinese patent in this book.
