Made circa 1960, 35mm, stainless steel. With Rolex Cal. 1040 self-winding movement, 26 jewels, 18000 vph, jumping seconds. Ref. 6556 was launched in 1954, destined for the doctors, permitting a more accurate reading of a patient’s pulse rate. Tru-Beat is one of the rarest and the most curious Rolexes ever produced.
