Made circa 2006, 40 mm, 18K white gold case, with Cal. CH 27-70 Q manual-winding movement. 24 jewels, 18000 vph, approximately 60 hours power reserve.

Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, perpetual calendar, moon phases indicator, and 30 minutes chronograph. 

Reference 5970 was introduced to the market at the Basel Fair in April 2005 and replaced the celebrated reference 3970. The model immediately enjoyed great popularity amongst collectors and was available in white gold or pink gold only until 2007 when the production of these two versions ceased. Reference 5970 in yellow gold was in production only in 2008. Since 2008, the model was available exclusively in platinum.

Reference 5970 is the last perpetual calendar chronograph featuring the Geneva seal on the movement as Patek Philippe began stamping their movements with the Patek Philippe Seal from mid-2009 as a new quality benchmark for its mechanical timepieces. Despite having been manufactured in recent years, reference 5970 is already today considered a great classic and will not only provide enormous pleasure on its future owner's wrist but will also be a pillar in any collection focusing on Patek Philippe's history of complicated wristwatches.
