Rolex Submariner 50th Anniversary 16610LV Mark 1

Made circa 2003, 40mm, stainless steel case, with cal.3135 self-winding movement. The Submariner 16610 LV was introduced in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Submariner.

During its life span, various small changes in the dial and bezel were made, leading to collectors referring to the different models with a 'Mark X' designation. This first version of 16610LV distinguished from later versions by its broader 'Swiss Made' designation and, oval 'O' in 'Rolex', alignment of the 'R' in 'Oyster' right between the two feet of the 'Rolex' 'R' and the 'flat four' in 40 on the bezel.
